My favorite people!

These are some of my favorite people!

Can you believe how big she is getting?  Look at those teeth!
She can't talk yet, but if she could I am sure she would tell you that I am her favorite aunt!

*******************************************************

He is most definitely a little spitfire!
J: Sissy crashed her bike.
Me:  Did she get hurt?
J: yes
Me:  Did you ride your bike too?
J:  I like training wheels!  hahaha!
Me: because you can't fall over?
J: yes
**it's not so funny when you type it out, but at the time it cracked me up!

Several weeks ago, my family was here for my dad's birthday so, my house was cleaned up since I had company.  When you go down to my basement you can see straight into my bedroom.
So, John decides he needs to go downstairs for something and he gets to the top of the stairs:
J:  Auntie Margo got a new bed!
Me: no, I didn't - I just made it! (sad that he's never seen my bed made!)
J:  You made it for me?
Me:  yep, buddy just for you!  LOL!!

I can't believe she is going to kindergarten this next year!

Oh this one - where has the time gone!?!  She definitely takes after me - she loves to shop, make things, her favorite NASCAR driver is Jeff Gordon much to her mother's dismay, and she likes bling.

****************************************************

I love that I get to spend time with each and every one of them.  I love that I get to be the fun aunt that they can go and do things with and spend time with.

Random

I haven't been blogging much in the last couple of weeks.  Mostly because I have been working overtime so, by the time I get home, I am tired and don't feel like doing much.  I will however, love my paychecks!  And I will spend some of that money taking my parents out to dinner and no, it will not be Mickey D's!  It will be somewhere nice - because you see - they are great parents.  Last weekend my dad spent his entire Sunday afternoon and part of the evening working on my vehicle....poor guy!  It was a the hardest, easiest fix as he said. If we would have had some different tools to use he wouldn't have had to spend so much time on it!  My mom was kind enough to feed me lunch, supper, and pack me a lunch for Monday at work.  So, I owe both of them.

So, a few weeks ago, I told you I was part of a hoop art swap sponsored by Heather at Life Made Lovely formerly known as Blessed Little Nest.

Here is the hoop art I got from Amber at Life Unscripted

It looks perfect with the colors in my living room - it hasn't found its permanent home as I keep moving it around - I love it!!

Below is the one I created and sent to Amber.

I plan to make some more hoop art - it was really fun creating this!

Right now I am working on some yarn wreaths - stay tuned because I will be giving one of the wreaths away!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Date Night

I had a date night tonight with the cutest little boy!
His sister had pre-enrollment for kindergarten so,
he got a date night with his Auntie Margo.

His meal of choice was Mickey D's - not my choice, but tonight after all was all about him.
He did not want me to take his picture at all tonight - so I got pictures like these where I cut part of him out or like below where you can't see him because he was darting out of the picture.
He played with his hot wheels for a long time - he was playing demolition derby.
We spent part of our time watching demolition derbies on youtube because as he puts it "I love derbies!"

He is so funny - several times he said to me "I am mad at you!"  So, then I would ask him why and he would say "I not mad at you" with a puzzled look on his face like, "why are you asking me this?"

I also had a tooting problem so, I started calling him "tooty fruity" and he didn't like that so much.
He did however, love the chocolate that he stumbled upon.

What a fun evening!

10 things - one day late

So, yesterday was the 10th day of the month and usually I give you a list of 10 things, but I got home late and my internet was being obnoxious so, it didn't happen!  Forgive me for being a day late?  thanks!

I think I will just give you 10 things that have been on my mind lately.

I can't believe Korrine (my niece) is going to kindergarten pre-enrollment tomorrow night!  Where did the last 5 years go?

I am excited to spend an evening with just my nephew tomorrow night - I don't think that I have done that since the first week of his life - that was a couple years ago!

I am so thankful for my parents!  They have always been there for my sisters and I and they help out anytime they can - I am so blessed!!

I continue to pray and search for for where God is leading me.

I am frustrated by people's assumptions about how they think I feel or would feel about situations.

I wish the weather would make up its mind - one day it is 90 and the next it is 50.  I am not ready for 90 - I want spring.

I need to start thinking about planting flowers.

I need to spray for ants - they are over taking the cracks in my driveway.

I am not ready to have to mow the lawn.

I need to do more crafting.

Sorry if I bored you - told you it was going to be random!

After an evening with my nephew I will probably have some good stories for you - he cracks me up!

Memories

I had 2 girl’s nights out this weekend!  It was great!  I went to see a play and then went out for dessert with the girls Friday night.  Saturday night we went out for Mediterranean and then came back to my house to watch “You Again.”  Cute movie – definitely a chic flick!

While driving to the restaurant my cousin mentioned she saw a picture of my “baby” on facebook this last week.

This was my “baby!”

This was the first vehicle I bought on my own!  It made me start thinking about all of the happy memories I had in that truck.

Racing my friend Ryan  & winning! – they told me I wouldn’t – shame on them for underestimating me and my truck!

Having my college guy friends wax it for me anytime I wanted because they loved my truck as much as I did!

Fitting 2 adults and 2 car seats in and going to church because Glenn took all of the keys to the other vehicles to church with him!

Cramming 4 adults in and going to find the perfect Christmas tree while in Denver over Thanksgiving.
Picnics in the back at Marion Lake.

Being able to haul anything I wanted.

Being able to wheel my grandpa out of the nursing home for a closer look and getting his approval that I had picked out a good one.  Grandpa’s approval was important thing for all of us grandkids.  (this memory is bringing tears to my eyes even now as I type this)

Driving down main street in any given town and admiring my awesome truck in the reflection of the store windows – never had done this until my friend Jason suggested it!

It had an old siren horn in it when I bought it.  My cousin Jeni, and I drove through town one “honking” the siren at people and laughing hysterically as they tried to figure out where the siren was coming from!!

Do you have special memories like this?
